Agnipath scheme Details :
It is a recruitment scheme launched by the Union Cabinet on 14 June to recruit youth soldiers for all the three Armed Forces viz. Army , Navy and Air Force below officer rank for 4 years directly from educational institutions or recruitment rallies . The soldiers recruited under this scheme will be known as AGNIVEERS .
AIMS of Agnipath scheme ?
Following are the aims of this scheme :
To provide a youthful profile to the Armed forces
To make people more disciplined and skilled
To reduce the budget of salaries & pension
to use the saved money in technology development of Armed Forces
To make more profit of youth
To increase competition in recruitment
To provide a financially strong structure to the Forces.
What agnipath scheme eligibility ?
Following are the eligibility criteria to apply :
Age must be between 17.5 to 21 years
Physical test pass
Medical test pass
Minimum 50% marks in 12th class
Male or female .
Where to apply ?
The applicant can apply online on the official websites such as

Due to no new recruitments in previous years, Under AGNIPATH scheme a total of 40,000 soldiers in all the forces for twice in a year for consecutive 4 years will be recruited.
The tenure of this scheme
6 months of rigorous training
3 years & 6 months of duty
6 months of rigorous training

After 4 years of work, 75% of soldiers will be retired & top 25% soldiers will be retained .
Salary and pension
Exit after 4 years : RS 11.71 Lakh will be paid as seva nidhi package
( Including, interest on the amount accumulated by the contribution of agniveer and GoI (both 5.02 lakh) will also be paid. ) and 10% reservation in the indian coast guard and defence civilian posts, and all the 16 defence public sector undertakings with addition to the existing quota of ex-serviceman.
NOTE : There is no mention of pension in the Agnipath scheme.
Agnipath scheme UPSC:
Agnipath scheme UPSC The Upsc conduct the agniveer exam .All candidates can apply for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force Recruitment under Agneepath Scheme. To provide an opportunity to serve the youth who may be keen to serve the nation in uniform albeit for a short period of time. To imbibe The armed Forces ethos, courage, camaraderie, commitment and teamwork in the youth For Agniveer Post, the applicant's age should be between 17 and a half to 21 years and the candidate should have passed 10th or 12th.

It is a temporary job scheme ( 4 years)
There is no pension scheme
There is no job security
After this, 25% of the youth will be retained. In simple words, this means that 25 out of 100 people will have the opportunity to serve full-time. In Bihar, protesters blocked the railway tracks in Buxar, then set things on fire in Madipur in Muzaffarpur and blocked the road. Apart from this, there was also a lot of ruckus in Ara. The police and GRP also tried to convince the protesters, but they remained firm in demanding that the plan be withdrawn.
